Vegan Gluten Free Lip Glaze

Sponsored by Tomoson.com

(Winner has been emailed. Just waiting for a response! ;)

Who loves free make up, and make up that doesn't have irritants in it or harmful chemicals? You would be surprised! I learned recently from Eileen from Pretty in Pink Gloss how many unsafe chemicals can be in your every day lotions, cleansers and make up. I will actually link you to the post she has written lately cautioning you on what to look for in your facial products and make-up so you can stay away from it.

So on to my featured product which is vegan and gluten free. Monave has a variety of make up derived from natural minerals, made with no preservatives. While I am not vegan, it is often difficult for vegans to find appropriate lip products even in health food stores, and even within lines that claim to be animal cruelty free. The ingredient in most lip products are derived from beetle or bees. Thousands of beetles are killed for the pigment that comes from their wings. To be honest, I had no idea I was wearing crushed up beetle wings on my lips. Wow!

Anyway, Vegans will be happy to know that this lip glaze is free of animal by-products and its also gluten free. It is made with natural fruit extracts, which helps it taste yummy and all the ingredient in this glaze is edible. This lip glaze is priced for the every day consumer and you will be happy to know that Mohave, based out of Baltimore Maryland does not outsource to any place outside of the U.S.

It is good to read that this company puts being natural first in everything they do. With many companies its just a side thing. Monave's philosophy is to avoid chemicals, synthetics, preservatives, dye and talc and they believe avoiding putting those things on your skin will help lead to healthier lives and glowing skin.

So I am happy to tell you that when I tried the lip glaze, it had a nice sparkle too it, but blended in with the natural color of my lips and provided just enough color to make my  lips pop, but not look unnatural in anyway. My lips stayed moisturized  and I believe it to be a good use for chapped lips as well. It does not state it is for chapped lips, but I think it helped mine. Mine are no longer chapped. I know you will love this lip glaze and you can receive free samples from Monave here.

Hey heather! I am so glad that you wrote this post. I really want to get the word out there about those harmful chemicals in our cosmetics. What really angers me is that they are also in our baby products. How could these companies be so irresponsible? We have to take action and educate ourselves on what we put in and on our bodies. My son has very dry skin and they give me Cetaphil cleanser which contains sulfates. Sulfates are extremely drying. It also contains Proplyene Glylcol which is a toxic substance we should all avoid. Propylene Glycol is a skin irritant as well. It doesn't make sense but I guess the company pays these dermatologist to taut this product like it's gold. I am going to be posting a list of toxic skin friendly products here http://prettyinpinkgloss.blogspot.com. Thanks again heather for getting the word out.

I’m pretty sure, all girls with or without gluten will totally accept this gluten – free lip glaze. I know some lip glaze that makes dry lips after how many days. I will suggest this to my classmates and let them join in. thanks!
