Do you have a nice camera but want to learn how to take photos of them without having to pay for a photography class? Kim Binfield is a portrait photographer in the San Francisco Bay area and she has just come out with an ipad application called "Portrait Classroom: Baby and Child Photography Tutorials" to help teach you how to use that nice camera you have and take wonderful professional looking pictures of your kids. With this simple Ipad app, you can learn some picture taking techniques without having to spend hundreds of dollars on a college class. Portrait Classroom is geared towards parents, hobbyists, and aspiring pro photographers who want a hands-on guide to taking better pictures of babies and children. Now I just have a simple digital camera, but I hardly ever user the "auto" function on it. I like using natural lighting and love using my camera out doors with my kids or by a brightly lit window. Those are the best pictures.
You don't have to have an amazing camera to take good pictures but you definitely want something of better grade than a throwaway Kodak camera. Download Kim's tutorial here , learn some basic techniques and snap away!
Here is a youtube tutorial of the ipad app:

I had a childhood filled with emotional torment, surgeries, foster care and abuse and really didn't know what it meant to be a child. My quest is to be the best mother and wife I can be and to provide my children with lives full of love and nourishment. Things I never had growing up. This is a blog about my life and my journey not only as any regular human being, but as a mother and wife. Something I really didn't know I wanted until I had it.
