A short rambling:
I can be really snarky, cynical and definitely sarcastic, but I am a fun loving girl, who loves my children and husband to death. I love this life I've been given even if you see my occasionaly rantings. Its just a quick outlet to release just a little bit of stress, then the moment is over and I've moved on and I've started laughing again. I think that is the fun of facebook and twitter. Short little descriptions of things happening to you in your life that some may read, laugh at, relate to or have absolutely no idea what you are saying, but you've been able to say it. Its recorded in a time stamp of digital collections of thought.
The other day I was reading an article about how many people with facebook accounts over the last 8 years who have died and they were talking about digital waste. I never thought of the digital world as wasteful, but I guess if you were to have any kind of waste, digital waste might be the best right?
"Am I Mom Enough For My Toddler/Pre-schooler"
I am finding it harder and harder to call my three year old a toddler anymore, I'm pretty sure he falls into the "pre-schooler" category these days.Well with having a 5 month old, he always sees me nursing him. Since we brought Baby B home from the hospital, its been a fascination with my older son. Just today, he was telling me how he thinks milk gets into my boobs. He said "milk come out of fidge go into belly button and out boobs!" He then asked to be breast fed and I politely told him that I used to breast feed him when he was a baby, but that he is a big boy now and big boys do not need to be breast fed. He has asked occasionally to be breast fed since Baby B was born and I always dismiss it, not really knowing what to say except that he's a big boy. He's even taken off his shirt wanting me to breast feed, and I tell him only mommies can breast feed, that little boys and daddies can't. These conversations can get quite funny and its really hard to keep a straight face sometimes and much of the time I just try to change the subject on him. I'm pretty certain the fascination comes because he has no memory of me breast feeding him since I stopped nursing him when he was a year old.
But in my house, me sitting on the couch in my nursing tank (which I have like 5 and wear them 24/7, under other shirts) is a common sight. Its not unusual at all. We do not really make a point of hiding our body parts yet in our family. After all I can't keep the stinker out of the bathroom when I have to pee or shower. Hopefully one day I can get that privacy back, but have you ever had some awkward breastfeeding moments with your other children? Did they ask funny questions?

Oh the questions toddlers ask!!! I only have one child and she is almost 2 so no breastfeeding questions here but I can just imagine how hard it would be to keep a somewhat straight face while answering his questions. I do get asked about my "boobies" and the other night she actually grabbed them and started pulling, saying "Take them off mommy". I have no idea where that came from or what it was about. Thankfully she seemed content when I told her they don't come off.....
My almost three year old "breastfeeds" his stuffed animals when they get "Huuuungry!" lol It is so sweet <3
That is cute Colleen! :)
The moment that sticks out to me was after Ariana was born, and phoenix would casually pretend to nurse his own baby - http://youtu.be/H4xBL0Wkrls
I just watched the video!! Too cute!! I think Phoenix and J Myster might be about the same age. That was adorable!
