So today I went to my first play group with the kids. Its always a little nerve racking meeting new people. You aren't sure how you will be accepted, but it was a good experience and I actually exchanged phone numbers with another mom. I went to the group in a complete new outfit that I bought last week. The last time I bought myself clothes, it was maternity clothes. Besides I usually just buy myself $5 dollar T's. But this outfit had some style too it. It was a tan blouse that went down to mid thigh that had a fat leopard print belt that you were high up on your waste. I wore it with black tights and some black and silver flats. It was cute! If only someone was around to have taken my picture in it!
On Saturday I got my hair chopped off. I like it. It reminds me of the hair cut I got in college. I had to do my hair in two appointments because a cut and weave take two and a half hours, so I have yet to get it weaved...but I'm also still deciding on color.
On Friday, I got to meet up with a friend from the valley and her husband. She is pregnant, so I boxed up a bunch of Baby B's old clothes. We met up for a group dinner at the Lumberyard. Tiffany and her boyfriend also came and I for the first time in three years went out with friends while Hunky Hubs watched the kiddos!
Sad huh? But it was exhilarating, and I was excited not to have a time limit in a restaurant due to restless kids who don't want to sit still.
Hunky Hubs said that Baby B went down for the night at 8:15. J Myster also went down at his normal bed time at 8:30 and my husband enjoyed a lovely evening watching a movie! Who knew that we could both have such lovely evenings apart, and me without the kids!? I didn't?
Then on Saturday, I met up with the wonderful Lanny. The woman who was my mother in another life. ;) We walked around downtown Flagstaff with Baby B in his stroller and just chatted it up for a few hours. We needed to catch up and it will be a few months until I see her again as last weekend was her last trip up here to winterize their place.
On Friday the kids get to go to a costume party with the other kids from the play group. J Myster started off wanting to be Bumble Bee from Transformers, then he changed his mind when he saw this pirate costume. So now he will be a pirate for Halloween. He is even practicing saying "ARRRRG Matey, I've come to steal your treasure!!" He makes a pretty cute pirate. And the little bubs is going to be a cute cuddly tiger.
This weekend we are finally carving our pumpkin. Not sure if we are going to do traditional jack o' lantern, or something a little more creative....but pics are sure to come!
What are your kids gonna be for Halloween?

Sounds like you have been busy. I have never been in a mom group. My daughter is 16 now. Never heard of anything like that when she was younger. Would like to see before and after pics of hair appt. Have a great weekend. I came from the hop :)
Thanks Jamie! I think I will post those pics this week! :) I think mom groups definitely help take the edge off in parenting. I think it helps to know other moms out there are having the same struggles.
