Should You Start A Website?

If you are here, from this post title, you might be wondering if you have what it takes to start a website, or if it means you have to know a lot about computers or web design. The answer to that depends on what your purpose is. For example, if your purpose is to just have a place to dump your thoughts, photos or journal a vacation or certain events in your life, then a simple blog will do. There are many places on the web to start a blog where you don't need hardly any web design expertise. But maybe you are starting a website for your business, and if that's the case you may need a little more support than your typical blogging platform and more support than what your typical domain or host site can offer.

In that case may wish to seek the support of a dedicated staff that will help you make your blog or website ideas come to life. Sometimes you know what you want to do, but don't know how to go about making it happen. There are many blogging platforms out there and many have a good support system. Many, however don't, and if you are attempting to seek help, the support, might not be there, or it may require you cracking a book and learning coding on your own. This is what I've done since I started my web design business back in 2004.  I am no expert, but I know how to alter coding, create coding, I know HTML like the back of my hand, java-script  some CSS, but thankfully you don't have to be an expert in those fields to own or make a website these days.

You can pay someone to make you a website. Web designers, like myself appreciate your business. ;) Or you can search for ways to do it yourself.   Wordpress is one of those platforms that has something for everyone with thousands of plugins that will make the most code savvy webmaster want to switch their site over to. You can read posts about WPMUDEV aka "WordPress Multi-User Development team" or check out the WPMUDEV videos they have of their latest plug-ins and get updates on what the support team is up to.
