Yes, I am a stay at home mother, and yes I seem to work, from the moment my alarm goes off til about 8:30 at night. This week was no exception as I've had the spring cleaning bug, just in time for another round of snow. Snow...go away and come back next year please!!!
Anyway, this week I decided to tackle the entire house. I started up in our master bedroom, and worked my way down, tackling closets and organizing them along the way and deep cleaning. It took me two and a half days and the only thing I haven't cleaned is the playroom, but that's pretty easy. I feel good sitting in a clean organized house.
On to other news:
Last Saturday it was finally warm enough to go outside and do a little yard work and let the kids play. We've had boxes from furniture and moving in to our house back in May, just sitting on the side of the house that we got out for bulk trash pick up and we also wanted to haul rocks from the side of the house to line a tree across the yard. I grabbed my first rock, stepped thru some boxes and right onto a nail. I yelped and hobbled to the walkway, sat down and checked out my foot. A nail had gone thru my boot, into my foot, but thankfully not very far in. It bled a little, but my main concern was tetanus! Thankfully, I got a tetanus shot the following day. Speaking of, one should get a tetanus shot every ten years. I thought my childhood vaccine was good for life, but its not.
And Now Some Bloggy News:
I will be writing a review probably Sunday (after J myster's birthday party) for Nicomate's electronic cigarettes. No, I'm not a smoker. But my husband was and he's been using electronic cigarettes for almost a year now, so he's going to actually give me his opinion on them for MOHTH and tell us why he made the switch. For me, I'm very very happy he made this switch. I think its been an eye opener realizing he's shortening his life and if he didn't make some change he might miss out on the boys lives.
You may also see some more design changes around here. I'm never fully satisfied with the look of MOHTH, but maybe one day I'll find a happy medium.
Anyway, that is what is going down here.
What are you up to?

I also have the spring cleaning bug, but also still trying to get over a nasty cold bug. I cleaned the cat room (which is also our tv room, but it looked like it had a layer of cat) and vacuumed the stairs. I was sweating like crazy after that.
Oh my gosh, I winced when I read about the nail, I so so so hate that feeling, and I'm sorry you got one in the foot. Glad you got some cleaning done, it does feel good, doesn't it?? I've recently done the same. :)
Wow - super impressive! All except the nail in your foot. Ouch!!!
Good for you! I am jealous of your organization motivation. I really need to get things in order over here.
I have been itching to do a deep cleaning! We moved in this house mid October and everything was in it's rightful place for a few months but now it's time to reevaluate where things should go. Ahhh...who has the time!
Congrats to your husband for making the switch :)
have a great weekend
WOW. You really don't stop do you?? Here from the Weekend showcase and if you're still in the cleaning mood you're more than welcome at my house!! ; ) Glad you got the tetanus shot- and I too used electronic cigs to quit smoking and have been smoke free for over 2 years now after 30 years as a smoker. They work- and apparently so do you. Again, the invitation to come to my house is still open. BB2U
LOL! Ha Ha, I might have a ton of motivation to clean, but some days I can barely keep up with that and my two boys. But I've often thought of starting my own cleaning business. But then I'd probably tire of cleaning my own house. Heh! I'm so glad you are smoke free too! They really do work, my husband tried gum, the patch a prescription medication, nothing worked. But these have been a God send!
Ha ha, that reminds me, I've got to take our cat out back and give him a good brushing cuz he's shedding everywhere! Thanks for stopping by Victoria!
I'm thankful it wasn't the very center of the foot, that is a very sensitive area, it was on the pad of the foot, which I would consider the best place for a nail to go if you had to make that ill fated choice. Eeek! I stopped hobbling after a few days.
Thanks Monica, its a bit of cabin fever combined. When the snow melts and I can get to gardening, I think this cleanliness bug will be a bit tamed. Hopefully not too much though, I love a clean house!
Yes, I think I will be figuring out where the best place for things to go for a few month months as well. Moving is hard, I still feel like the house is new, even though we've been here since May.
Thanks Terri! I'm glad he's made the switch for so many reasons. For one, he's easier to kiss! ;)
Spring cleaning is calling all those mothers who ... like me... just stored away the year end stuff out of sight :) So it is on my to-do list, I just need to find time. It is great you got some time outdoors.
