New Website Look Unveiled!

Hello MOHTH Readers!

If you saw that "Excuse The Mess" post yesterday and things all jumbled around, well today you are reading this post on MOHTH's new look! I've been playing around with this new look for the last few days editing code til my eyes crossed and now I'm pleased with how it looks. There are a few things I will change graphically. But I love love the new featured content slider on the home page. Go on take a look!!  RIght now I am currently trying to get my disqus comments to sync with blogger comments, some posts are still showing no comments at the moment, while other posts are fully updated, kinda weird.

I'm also intrigued to find out if you like the new social sharing floating bar here on the left side, annoying, perfect? Does it overlap the post in your browser if you don't have your browser fully expanded, it does in mine a little bit, so I'm contemplating whether I should keep it or not. I loved the "sexy bookmark" sharing widget that I used to have below my posts, but unfortunately due to the jquery coding it uses, it doesn't work in conjunction with featured content sliders or the jquery drop down menus. So I have to choose something else, I just want it to be visually appealing.

Anyway, thanks for your readership, and definitely leave me a comment and let me know if you like the new MOHTH changes!

The new website looks great Heather!!!

Wow, this looks absolutely great! Very professional and lively. How did you do this? Did you do this with Blogger?

Hi, well I used a free magazine style blogger template and went in from top to bottom and tweaked the xml code and made each element of it my own graphically with photoshop. It took a lot of work, but I'm very pleased with the results! :) Thanks for your comments! My goal was just that "professional and lively!" So I'm glad it comes across that way!!

Great job Heather! Love the color scheme and the layout.

it looks great!! I've been thinking of redoing mine also but am dreading the crossing of the eyes (haha)

Yeah, looking over code can be frustrating and time consuming for sure!

Hi Heather,

I adore the new design. It's very eye-catching, lighthearted and professional. This is going to sound funny, but please play along: I'm so glad that you shared some of the technical terminology because now I know what to call it in order to find out how to get it. I want to tweak the design of my blog and your post helps me out. Thank you.

Karina

Looks awesome!!! I'm itching to redo mine, as well.
